Are GZ/JL amps FM friendly?

Can't speak for the GZ, but the JL is not specifically made to prevent FM reception. Having said that I don't know of anyone that has reported a loss of reception....but then again there's guys who've lost reception using a 4180. I think regardless of the amp it's a roll of the dice.

Does the amp need to be mounted above the radio in order for it to interfere with FM reception? Mine is mounted on the BT bracket so I will test today...I'm not sure that a side mounted amp will impact reception but I'll happily check and report back

Do NOT bridge that amp to the Moto 692s. You'll be sorry...a bridged micro 4v2 took out one of mine...back it down...

Hey Troop, I had FM just fine with my GZ amp but know that I had it mounted on the clutch side BT bracket, not on top of the radio. Now I have a HDP4 on top of my radio and the FM is definitely gone.
