Default BOSS Bar Mount Speakers from Amazon - $60?

A couple of questions. One, does anyone have any experience with these? My first thought is that you get what you pay for, so a $60 price tag for something that normally cost $300, there is a reason.

Two, I have a 2014 Heritage. I was thinking about mounting the amp behind my headlight inside of the fork cover and possibly tying into the headlight power. Me thinks that the second idea is a bad one as using a wire tap into the headlight power wire just doesn't sound smart. It would eliminate several issues because the light is only on when the key is on, so I wouldn't have to worry about tying into the ACC for power. Plus, I wouldn't have any sort of long run to the battery.

Thoughts?

Default ?

I have a friend who installed this and it sounded great - not sure how he hooked up the box, though.

Did you get this hooked up?

I bought them and hooked them up. They were honestly awesome for the money, really well built and loud, until I started my bike. I have Vance and Hines pipes and a stage one intake, so my bike is really loud. I would recommend them to anyone with a quieter ride, but I actually returned them to Amazon. I give them 5 stars though because I felt like especially for value, they were great.

Had a set of them years ago on a Sporty of mine. First ride out and the mounting bracket broke.

Hope you have good luck with them. I wouldn't use them if they were free.

Wow -
OK - where did you end up mounting the amp box?

Thanks
