Never run your fairing speakers in parallel with your lids, unless you are running the exact same speaker in both locations. What ohm are these Polk's? sorry if I missed it in an earlier post.

My current four Polks are 4 ohm. Two are 5.25 and 2 are 6.5 both sets are DBs. Why not parallel if they are all 4 ohm?

Nothing wrong with paralleling, I was making sure they weren't the 2.7 ohm version. As far as the fairing in parallel with the lids you usually want to run different crossover and gain settings in those locations due to usually running a 6x9 on the lids. After going back i realize you are putting the 5.25 on the lids and the 6.5 in the inner fairing facing each other. Personally I still wouldn't parallel the 5.25 and 6.5, but if you are determined to use one amp that'll probably be what you have to do and give the fairing stock location as much power as you can.

Check out the AD Design speakers for the fairing. Not real sure on their pricing, but have been getting decent reviews here. You also can't go wrong trying to reach out to BaggerAudioLab. Gann also has the right idea with trying to put a 6x9 in the lid, but understandable if you can only run the 5.25.

Thanks, just trying to get good loud and clear music using as much of what I already have as possible. Looks like replacing both my inferior amps with the low dollar PN4.100D and a decent set of speakers in the stock location is my most economical way to get there and retain 6 speakers. Down the road I can swap out the 4 polks for something better and maybe get real lids that hold 6x9.
