Need some audio info no experience
Hi I have a Road King that I'm running two Polks mm651 in the lids which are being powered by a Kenwood KAC-3004 600watt 4 channel amp. My music is coming from an old iphone 4 via bluetooth. It's wired normal which according to specs I guess i'm getting 50 watts to each speaker. Can I bridge the speakers and get more power out of them? Any suggestions of where it should be set on the amp so that I don't blow them? Sorry no experience with audio and just trying to get as much as I can from this system until I'm able to upgrade.
Thank you in advance for your assistance!!!!

Hey Redline,
Here are the spec's on that amp
4-channel car amplifier.
50 watts RMS x 4 at 4 ohms (75 watts RMS x 4 at 2 ohms)
150 watts x 2 bridged at 4 ohms.
CEA-2006 compliant.
Class D amp technology.
The Polk MM651 is a 2.7 ohm speaker. If you bridge the amp to those speakers you will eventually burn up the amp.
IMO...get with Bagger Audio Labs and get a set of good 4 ohm coaxial speakers from him and bridge your amp. 150 watts x 2 pushing a good set of speakers would be a low cost way of significantly improving what you have now

CVO thanks brother,
Yeah you need different speakers to get the most out of that amp. Lots of options out there. What type of lids do you have there? Can you add a horn anywhere, that would allow you to use a pro audio 6.5 speaker that would significantly louder and heard a bit easier since you are on a RK.
