New guy here. Looking for decent sound at 70-80. I like the 2 speaker setup mentioned above. Can someone send links for me to review further or is that not allowed? I located the amp no problem but the speakers seem harder to locate.

I just spent $500 on the Aquatic AV AQ-MP-5UBT-HS, $87 on a Soundstream pn2.350d amp, and $90 on a set of Kappa 62.11i's. Add the adapters and amp install kit, and I've got a setup under $800 that rocks.

Just read up on some of the posts by Gan & Ultra and you should be able to get a good idea of what will work for ya.

SHB, Lottaluck, toucan- these guys know what they are talking about. I have a '12 SG. Didn't have a big budget, thought stock HU would be fine, wanted one-and-done fairing only set up. Now Im going back in. Audio tech for sleds seems to be changing really quickly. Like IT, you seem to get more bang for your buck even if you have to wait to save the coin. I'm now into my audio for about $1100, and i am just now changing out the HU. So, my 02: save the cash, watch the classifieds, and follow these guys advice. Be open to used stuff...any guys on the audio forum would never stick you with some bullschnix. AND they usually help with advice. Honestly, there is NO better place for sled audio than here. These dudes are awesome.

Default Help me out Yall. Thx!!

Hey all I just come across these threads. I have a 12 steer glide with factory hu & speakers. I wanna upgrade the speakers in fairing & get a hu that works with my hand controls. The budget has been set at $500. Maybe just speakers & amp now. New head unit later on. Plus how can I find some great used stuff on here??? Ppl think bc I own a Harley that I have lots of money. When it's the opposite. I have very little of it. Not sure even on how to use this site.

I myself was thinking aquatic mp5 with kicker ps series speakers.$650 should be the target for this set up.Two 6.5 in the fairing and 5.25 in the tour pak.

My HU crapped out so I got the Aquatic plug and play. The cheaper one, like $360. Its bluetooth and all that, just not a color display. Then I bought. Jensen 2ch 600W AMP from WalMart for $70. Actually had good reviews on YouTube University. Kicker 6.5 speakers in the fairing, $90 from Best Buy... After the radio crapped out I had to replace it. Then, since the fairing was off figured why not buy an AMP and some bigger speakers. No plan, just desire. Is my setup top of line? Nope. Does Slayer sound amazing at 70mph? Yup.

How do you like the kicker speakers? I’m thinking of the ps series speakers.

650 will be tough. kickers are not great for a sled. A good sounding system SS pn4.1000D and 2 Mmats 601.cx. That's about 400.00 add install kit, LOC and adapters 475. Then later get a HU as they are hard to find right now.
