I have 2006 flhxi thinking of replacing the stock Radio with either a jensen or Aquatic Av was wondering had any experience with eIther:icon_speaker1 :

 

I have the aquatic av and love the sound, look, and Bluetooth works great. It has a cool compartment to charge your phone while you ride.

Cons are it doesn't have a clock and the face is a little annoying to take off and put on.

 

i had great luck with aquatic base model. no frills, easy to install and all functions including bluetooth were flawless

 

I have the newest Aquatic with satellite and it also has a clock function as well. Very pleased with it and very easy to install. Would highly recommend.

The only down side with the HS model is you will not see the screen in day light so having a clock or being able to see what song is playing is a no go unless your in the garage or under a tree or riding at night.

 

Actually because the clock screen is a white background with black numbers, it is easy to see in the sunlight. The other screens with song information can be a challenge if the glare is just right. They should have an option to change those screens to a white background in bright conditions.

 

How are you getting a white back ground and seeing the clock, my new unit I think is the same color no matter what is up on the screen and I can not see the clock.

 

If you are referring to the clock position when the screen is still showing song info, then yes it's difficult to see. I was talking about when you have the clock set on "priority" so the clock shows up in full screen a few seconds after it shows the track info. See the picture I posted in the thread earlier.
