Default 14+ speaker wire resistors for reduced distortion

Sorry if this is duplicate or already discussed, however, I'm sure I am not the only person unaware that (and according to what I've been told by ARC and referenced by another vendor link below) we need to be running 10w 47ohm resistors across the speaker wires to trick the HU into thinking we are Harley running crappy Harley speakers. Apparently the HU will clip and distort without it? I too was unaware that if a flash enabling the rear output is enabled and even if you aren't using the rear output, it's apparently still needed on that output too. Seems that this is a really cheap fix; resistors are under 7 bucks on Amazon.

Here is a great article outlining the procedure for rear output. The same would be true for the fronts too. We each need 1 resistor per channel. I already had resistors in my wiring that came from ARC with my PSM for the front channels (though I never knew WTF they actually were there for), however, I just ordered some resistors to add to my rear channels that I haven't yet used but soon will be.

If you have a 14-up the Biketronics bt355 will take care of that for you.

I'll have to disagree. Read the whole article... https://www.americanhardbag.com/page...rets-for-14-up

Waiting patiently for a few of the forum audio guru's with Rushmore HU experience to chime in here. Is this article by americanhardbag legit? If so, why haven't I heard much about these THREE issues on this forum? Do I need to get resistors for my 15 Ultra Limited? I already have the fix86 DSP. I'm wondering if that processor takes care of all three "issues" with the Rushmore HU's.

I asked Biketronics about this and Mike said the Line Leveler takes care of the load.
