Default To Port or not to Port

I have Beyma Pro6wnds in my lowers. They sound good but, was wondering if I can get more "sound" out of them. Would porting the lowers give them better sound or if adding some poly fill? Or both?

Any advise?

CF, I would give Beyma a call and talk to a tech, give them as much info as you can, size of pod, sealed ect and see what they say. I would think it would be pretty hard to port a lower, size of port, length, diameter, I don't think there's enough volume to actually port a lower pod, but you could probably drill some holes to let it breathe! Call Beyma and ask them, they would know more about their speakers then anybody on here..just my $.02 I'm thinking of calling DD and ask about the DD Vo 6.5 I have in my pods! Let us know what you find out! You try those Clarus speakers yet?

Ok will do and I will let you know what I find out. On the Clarus, Yes I did and although they are SUPER clear, they did not work well in conjunction with my Beymas. I was hoping for a fuller sound but did not seem to pair up as i had hoped. I put the DDs back in. I will be putting the Clarus up on the web site soon to sell for what I bought them for. Trail and error, ya dont know till ya try.

14 and later HD speaker pods for lowers are ported, that being said i installed a set of PA601.4's in a set and they sounded very good and has less excursion to them than the speakers that were mounted in the fairing with the BT brackets. you might have to just give it a shot and tell us how it works out for you.
