Bike is about a month old. I started noticing a thumping sound from my rear speakers. It sounds like someone is thumping on a 5 gallon bucket. It goes away if the motor is shut off. I also noticed that the sound clarity is much better when the motor is shut down. It kind of reminds me of back in the 70's & 80's. When you would get feed back whines when your car was running. The pitch would go up when you rev'd the motor. If you set the balance to full rear it is very annoying. If you turn the bass up past midway with an even front rear balance it is annoying.
The bike will go back to the dealer to have it looked at. But I am waiting until deer season starts. Priorities. I would like to have some kind of idea of what they need to look for. I am pretty sure the guys at the dealer are not audio elites. I am thinking it has some fugged up wiring?
Any input would be a help.

 

You don't have to be an "audio elite" to figure this out. I'm confident that they'll verify the problem/issue and based on what you described and assuming you haven't messed with anything, they'll probably end up replacing the HU. It happens...
