Default Audio upgrade time

I have a 2009 Ultra that I have had since new. I have not upgraded the sound at all. I would like a sound that is more clear not just louder. I don't like ear phones or helmet speakers or anything like that. I just want a clearer sound and probably blue tooth also. What do you recommend? Thanks...

I think what the previous post is meaning to say is that if you have an idea of what you’d like to accomplish, a budget that you’d would like to stay within (and one you refuse to go over) — usually two different numbers, if you have lowers, lids, TP pods, please let us know so we can assemble some components that match well together and stays within your budget. It sounds like the first thing you’re looking at is a new head unit with Bluetooth capability. Cool! You’ll end up needing to get a couple things with that. 1. A retro radio kit that will wire into your new HU and into the bikes wiring harness to retain your hand controls. There are 3 options ranging from $30 to $90. 2. You’ll need a rain cover that will fit over the HU to protect it from rain. The favorites are Kenwood and Sony HUs and it really comes down to personal preference.
If you want better sound you’ll be adding an amp and 2/4 speakers depending on how many holes we are filling but there are options from very budget to very ridiculous so let us know where you’re at with everything and the crew will happily chime in.

Gonna be to tough to get everything you want on a $600 budget bro. But it can be done!!
First off for BT you need to change the radio to an aftermarket. The Sony MEX-M70BT is on sale at crutchfield right now for $129. Then you will need the scosche or Metra kit for your handle bar controls to work. Looking at another $100 bucks. Now you need some decent speakers. The Infinity Kappa's are $109 a set. You need two sets if you want a 4 speaker system. So far about $450 bucks. Last but not least you need a amp with $150 left on your budget. For $150 your looking at the Power Acoustic RZ4.2000D which is actually about $109 at Somic Electronix. That leaves you just enough for the Metra 6.5 adapter rings and RCA's + wires.

I was thinking fairing only but 4 speakers could be an after thought.

Or send the existing radio to Iron Cross Audio and have them install their bluetooth mod for $140. That leaves another $100 for speakers/amp after paying for shipping.

this is blatant false advertising and should be looked at as an insult to our intelligence
