Default Poor Radio Reception - 2017 Road Glide Ultra

Have a 2017 Road Glide Ultra with poor radio reception.

A little background:
*Stock Radio and Stock antenna
*Live in Los Angeles with plenty of radio stations transmitting strong signals.
*Get a few of the major LA stations when the bike is idling. Don't get any AM radio stations and only 1 Weather Band channel when the bike is idling.
*When riding, once you get past 40 mph, no radio reception at all. However Media player works fine. I use the term "fine" loosely considering the factory speakers and amp.

Checked the connection on the antenna and the antenna connection on the back of the radio. They looked fine and well seated.
One last test, i tried to listen to the radio using the intercom headset that came with the bike when riding, the radio slowly cut out until around 40 mph when all radio reception was lost.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Sure there will be plenty of suggestions to take it back to the dealer for the warranty and i am sure that will be the end result. My bike has been at the dealer enough already for warranty issues.

v-twin max ,,,,

wow ,,, in LA you can pick up 129 FM radio stations with 1/2 of an old coat-hanger connected to the back of the radio ,,,, ,,,,,,

my guess is that it is the radio itself but I could be wrong ,,,,,,

when you do finally resolve this, please let us all know what it was ,,,,,,

There should also be an antenna connector below the seat. That could be loose.

Thanks for the tip. Didn't realize there is a connection under the seat. It looked fine. However unplugged the connection under the seat and there was no change in the radio reception. Leads me to believe there may be an issue with the cable somewhere between the seat and the radio. I will pull the tank this weekend to see if i can find the issue.
