Need 7-8 ft but most all measure by the meter. Will have a bit extra but 9ft will be what you will find the closest. My 6ft just made it down to front of my saddlebag.

6 footer to the side cover, use a female/female barrel connector into a 3 footer out of the side cover to your end location.

I used a Krystal Knukonceptz 2m RCA... was just long enough to make it to my TP! I got the RCA ends into the Tp with maybe 2 inches to spare, then plugged the RCA ends into the Y splitter (1 female to 2 male) perfect...lol ..... Kris if you look at the pic's you posted of my amp install u can see in the 1st pic ( right side of amp) how much cable is showing...not much...inch on one 2 inches on the other!

Does this include a built in safeguard for future upgrades, or why not just a 9 footer? Curious why the barrel and another cable?

putting the 6 footer behind the side cover makes it simple for a quick disconnect...or at least the easiest possible quick disconnect. Its entirely possible that you dont' remove your TP so in that case of course, you can run one directly to the amp. Running the 6 to the side cover is the easiest quick disconnect if you were putting an amp in the bag, which would need to be removable. Just another option!

I knew there was means to your madness. Thanks for the clarification.
