Are we talking about the same MMats speaker that yooperhog referenced above or another brand?

Have two pair PRV's in hand and purchased a bench grinder. From what I understand the PRV's will line up with the BT speaker brackets using the BT 7.1 holes without any mods. The other pair will be going in the lowers. The question I have for those that have modified these speakers, do you drill new holes into the gasket area of the speaker or elongate the existing holes? I'm using clip nuts and bolts to hold them in with these grills.

The PRV's for the lowers are now round. Not fun grinding the aluminum baskets but they should be well worth it. The screw clips I was using with the SV's won't work with the PRV's do to the size of the basket. So I had to order more stock captive nuts to mount them.

Good work Bert. I'm still baffled at why they made it this shape to start with.

Thanks SB, and me too. As I was grinding and cutting away I was thinking, I bet they come out with a standard mount version next year...

I bet a competent PRV dealer could start selling them already modified for a small surcharge. 😉
