Maybe trying out first with 2x, as you say.. About the lows, really curious about how much they can handle..
I imagine they´re worlds apart compared with the Booms.

Haven't heard the boom but these speakers actually move when you have bass, I have never seen 3" speakers move for bass. They do sound good sitting in a garage and my bro said that he could hear them at 70 when just 2 were installed. He is very happy but I can tell you, and he looked for 2 years before putting this together. You can buy the kits on Steelhorseaudio.com or you can just buy all the stuff separately, prices aren't really much different. My brother had a bunch of Amazon gift cards or he would have just got the Steep Horse setup.

Would like to know if someone could help about the best sounding & more poweful system (watts) that I could purchase for a softail, Boom-style because the speakers would need to be placed in the handle bar..

Is the HD Boom system a good solution?
Are the shark shkHsp350 3" speakers + amp better instead?

This would be for my Nostalgia, but wouldn´t buy speakers if the sound get lost at cruise speeds..

Cheers & thanks in advance,

G.
I just looked through quick and might have missed it, but do you have a windshield? Without one I'm not sure how beneficial the effort will be to add handlebar audio to your bike. Without a windshield ear buds would be your best choice.

Pricey but then again, I just paid $800 to put a Boom 6.5 Nav radio in my Street Glide so it's all subjective. Rock on my friend!

I have/had one of the Shark units gifted to me. It's ok enough for tooling around town at 45 or less, but any higher than that and they not very useful. I can hear them at about 60-65, but only turned up to 11, which causes them to distort like crazy, so pretty much useless.

Man N93 I'm glad to see this thing getting some traction and some usable feedback. PLEASE be sure to post up what your final decision is and how you like it.

Yeah.. still need to decide between any of these or a set of Booms a friend is offering me.

yep.. that´s my main concern me about these systems... would be a deception not being able to hear well the music @ 120-130 km/h

I was so happy with the JM's that I had no interest in trying anything else....
