Default Can I still use my 2 channel amp

Can I still use my 2 channel Rockford Fosgate pbr amp for my front fairing speakers and then run another separate 2 channel RF pbr for my new speaker lids? Or do i need to chuck the 2 channel and buy a 4 channel?

Get rid of that amp and get a good 4 channel. What speakers are you running and what year and model bike?

Sure you can. But a lot of the guys on here will steer you towards a better set up. It depends on what you want and what sounds good to you.

I would not throw good money at another PBR.
Plenty of other good bang for the buck solutions that are available.

As stated, you can but why would you want to? Another 2 channel amp, another wire harness, mounting it in the bag (it wont fit in the fairing) and tuning it to try and match the front set up. That sound like a headache to me. Besides the pbr series is very old technology and has a bad rep for overheating and a muffled sound. I personally would not want an oven in my bags.

Chuck the Fosgate amp and get a decent 4 channel amp. All the suggestions are on point. You don't want or need another PBRX2. Don't know where your budget is at but the cheapest way I would go is the Power acoustic RZ4.2000D. $100 bucks. If you have about $200 more bucks the JL 400/4 is on sale at Amazon right now for $299.

Thanks guys,
I swapped out the factory speakers and went with Hogtune 362 speakers in the front with the RF PBR300 pushing them. It's been ok i guess, I mean it gets a little distorted when I crank it all the way up but outside of that it's been fine.... and YES it's been hot.....very hot as a matter of fact.
I'm riding a 2016 SGS. BTW

Could anyone recommend a good 4 channel amp then? Preferably one that doesn't operate like an easy bake oven!
I'm not looking to win sound-off competitions or anything either - just want to be able to really crank that bad boy up at at 85+ mph! and not have it all distorted / muffled. I'm sure one exist for about the same price as the PBR however, I have no idea where to even begin comparing. Plus half that tech-talk goes right over my head.

thanks

Are you using a Line Leveler from Biketronics?
Also...with the speakers you've chosen to run, I'm not so sure a better amp is going to help that much. It'll get you started in the right direction though.
