Default Adding Speaker to Bags

Is the RF kit the only one on the market that allows you to add speaker to your existing bags or is there another company that sells them that doesn't force you to buy their speakers? I am trying to avoid the headache not to mention the cost of paint and color matching the lids. I guess I could buy the RF kit and just sell their speakers and buy some better ones?

That's exactly what I did. I couldn't get the paint for my new ann. street glide. Sold the speakers on ebay and put in some hertz mpx 690.3. I cringed when it came to cutting the lids but the fit is perfect, tight and solid.

I think so. First if and I mean IF you can get the paint for the lids, it will be expensive and may not match exactly. Next is the cost of the lids, paint, wiring, grills and speakers. I bought the kit off ebay for under $400. and by the time I sold the tms6x9 and bought the mpx 690.3 I still had under $400 for the whole set up. As far as the same color, mine is legend blue and if yours is Daytona blue check this thread for paint availability.

I know its an older thread but still food for thought.

LMAO Ok the RF Kit it is I am just glad to know that I am not the only one having this issue. I tried to find the paint several months ago for something I was wanting to do and well got a lot of the same results as they did because of the color.

We had a bike come In with that kit. It’s well made and looks great but the speakers are garbage.

BTW you may like those tms 6x9 speakers that come with the kit. They sounded ok but only rated at 75 rms and I knew I would blow them if I turned up the gain too much so I opted to sell them before I blew them. I regained almost all the cost for the hertz.

Yeah that's why I am just going to get the kit sell the speakers and get some good speakers to go in them. Hopefully I can get something for them to offset the cost of the new speakers.

You must have been typing same time as me. Those are all over ebay for $299. Way over priced and yes not the best speaker for the $$.
