Apologies for not having the actual photo, but I was curious as to whether any members have seen the amp bracket break for no reason with one of the RF kits. The cracks generated from two of the screw mount points, and on one side, broke away completely leaving the amp dangling in the faring and banging around on the framework. I had a rattle for about a year and finally couldn't take it any longer. The amp suffered some cosmetic damage, but functions fine. It does rattle internally like a small piece broke inside it but seems to be OK otherwise. Visualize the pieces completely separated on the crack that goes all the way through. A crack had started on the other side as well. Fortunately my audio guy had a new bracket laying around that he gave me so I was back on the road in short order.

Anybody seen this before?

 

i've not seen it before, but i bet if you call rockford and tell them about it, they would be glad to know and might get you a new one for free. everytime that i've talked with them they have been very helpful.

Thanks. Yeah, I think I've had the system in there for close to two years. I got a free bracket from my guy, but I will likely report it to RF just so they know. Good suggestion.
