Default Mild M8 Road Glide suggestions

Not looking to be heard across town, just want to be able to hear music clearly at highway speeds. Looking at an Aquatic AV 300 Watt 2 Channel Amp for $300. Yeah or nay as I am not looking to break the bank either. Also will stock speakers hold up or would they need to be upgraded as well? One of my last Road Glides I had J&M amp and speakers which were fine for me but hoping to keep the cost lower. Thanks for any help!!!

I would say no on the amp. How many speakers? Any plans to add more later? What type of music do you listen?

I would say no on the speakers too. They wont hold up to much more power than the head unit can give them now. ,

Just the 2 speakers in the fairing. No plans to add additional speakers. Like said, just want to hear clearly at highway speed like I could with J&M speakers/amp.

If you are going to add an amp and speakers, do it right. Not massive show quality but right so you can hear it at 70-80. Polk mm series, infinity Kappas I know will fit. DB Design Motos are great but I'm not sure they will fit in the pods without modifications. Cerwin Vega b-52 will do those or any speaker justice.
Here you go:
B-52 amp- $135
Polk mm 652- $150 or kappas about the same price.
Biketronics bt355 LL- $80
Mis. wiring and connectors- $25.
Total- $390 based on amazon pricing. Can be had cheaper.
This is just one option that is proven and will sound good.

Soundstream pn4.520d slightly cheaper and will power the hell out of any of those speakers mentioned also. I believe there are a set of kappas and polks for sale in the ads currently also

All ready saving you more $$ than a Jm set up and will sound better. The one thing you can't do without is the bt 355 line leveler.
