Fm is hit or miss with alot of the class d amps they say. There are some that do not mess with it but they are more expensive

No PBR!!!! Amps to retain FM are going to increase your budget by a good bit.

Respectfully, you dont want that Rockford 300x4 amp.. Not gonna accomplish your goals. Its not recommended on this forum EVER. If you were super worried about retaining FM I would go with the PBR 300x2 amp and only AMP the fairing Kappas. Just run the rear Kappas off your deck.

I have run the Kappas in the fairing and a PBR300x2 amp for many many miles before I upgrades to PA. I highly recommend them both.

If you can let FM go, do the B54 and 4 kappas!!!

I won't even recommend the 300x2. To me that amp has no soul. It's just blah

There is another alternative that doesn't loose fm and with the kappa's it will sound good. The rf tm400xad is rated 100w x4 but is always under rated. I also know that it doesn't loose fm even sitting on top of the radio. There are some here that wont run it but the experience I have had with it has been good and the ones I have installed are more powerful than they are rated.

BTW as long as you are using the kappas the b-54 amp will be ok. If you use 4 ohm speakers, then that amp wont be enough at 80w x4. What are you going to do with the rear pods if you add lowers and amp them?

Glad you guys are here for guidance.
I'm sure I'll just do a 4 speaker system, whether it be fairing/tour pack or fairing/lowers.
I must of misunderstood, I thoughtI could run 4 infinity 62.11i speakers with a b54? Aren't they 2 ohms?
What amp would I need to run 4 infinity 62.11i speakers?
you guys have been a wealth of knowledge.

You are correct. Like I said that amp will work fine with the kappas as they are 2 ohm. If you decide to use a different speaker that is 4 ohm, then that amp wont have enough power. If you decide to do the lowers and amp them then you will have nothing for the rears. If it were me, I would fill what I have now (front fairing and rear pods) and see how it sounds then look into to the lowers but that is just me. Everyone has different listening needs.

If you decide to go with lower speaker pods I would go with AdvanBlack. I have them on mine and the fit is excellent, and they have many colors to choose from. They are $140 painted but you can ask them for a discount. If you buy other plain Jane brands you'll need to find a painter to match the color, so for me it was worth it. Their customer service is excellent.

The color was off a little bit on mine so I called them and they are sending another set free of charge.
