Default Looking for more... speaker lids, pods, or speakers in the bags

Hello,
I'm currently running Focal K2 components in the fairing with an Arc Audio mini 125x2. It has the BT 355 and sounds great, but I'm always seeking to improve. I just bought another Arc mini and wondering if I should do lower fairing speaker pods, speaker lids, or larger speakers in the bag firing sideways? I have really good highs, just lacking bass that I know is only good for parking lot pimping, ha! I have used the 6x9" speaker lids (cheap Ebay ones) that leaked and couldn't hear them going down the highway. I also mounted them sideways in the bag too and it sounded alright. I've never tried lower fairings and not sure how much of an improvement that would be? Anyways, any help is much appreciated.

First what bike? You have a LL so I think you have 2014+ bike. I don't have lowers but have read that is the biggest bang for the buck vs. rear lids or in the bags. As far as rears go, yes you will loose most bass over 60 and I personally like my bags for storage rather than fill them with amps and speakers. Your present set up could sound better if you fed those focals a bit more power.

It's a 14 Street Glide, I knew I'd leave something out. That's what I was thinking about the pods. I'm avoiding the bags at all costs because they're only a few weeks old. I think the mini is pushing the Focals pretty good. I liked it so much I bought another! Now I'll have to find pods in denim black that aren't junk and some 2 ohm 6.5s. Thanks for the reply!

These pods were suggested in another thread and look like the advan and the original price is the same but half after the sale price.

Speakers inside the bag are going to give you BY far the most bass. Those mini Arc amps really aren't the best though for bass.

I looked at the advan black and shipping was ridiculously long. I had some Kappas on there before and they were ok, then I went with Polk DBs and now I'm on this one. Kerry's Cycles does have the Rushmore pods for a good price, but not painted. I'm not going for much bass, just quality sound that's clean. Thanks for all the replies!

So I found some pods from FMOTOS that I'm leaning towards. I just have to find a good 2 ohm speaker for them.

I would be careful with the Advanblack stuff as far as the bag lids I have heard several people tell me that the paint is really thin and scratches really easily.
