Hey Mike can you please answer the question asked about installing the motos in fairing, did you use brackets or did you install in factory fairing pods. Thank you for your time.

Yep I used the brackets. They were a little spendy but bite the bullet and get them absolutely worth the money and it creates a lot of extra room in the fairing. I wasn't going to buy them then Tailwiind talked me into it and I am really glad I did.

Do you have any idea how thick that stuff is?

Also if I wanted to experiment with it where is a good place to get some?

Thanks again.
I was looking at getting some and just a quick look here is what I found
https://www.walmart.com/ip/Dynamat-1...ipak/183602840
And according to what I have read on the Dynamat website the extreme is only 4 mils thick

Thanks mike let us know how it goes if you get into it. I'm going to be tied up for a bit but I think I'll look into the Dynamat. If it improves sound quality then I think it's worth a shot. I may have to leave some spots out though like the big wiring bundle in front of the speedo and tach and maybe a little bit on the inner swell of the fairing. If it came off easily I could just cover the whole thing and peel out what touches, but I don't know if that will be easy or not.

Worst case you could put it in and mock it up with tape before you peel the backing off and stick it then you could see where it was hitting and just trim those areas. That's what I am looking to do when I get to do mine I've got a rally that me and the wife are going to in about a week and getting ready for that has got me a little tied up with prep so I guess ill get the Dyanamat done when I get back.. Damn Honey-Do's lol

Hoyt this is what I used. It takes 4 sqft to do the inner fairing. Granted I had 2 bikes to so I bought the 5 sheet box in case I screwed up.
