Default 2018 Midwest M&G #1 June 8-10 Black River Falls WI

This years first Midwest get together is planned. Still plenty of time to make small changes to the itinerary if needed, but I think we have a pretty good plan right now.

Dates are the 8-10th of June but get here when you can and we can meet up someplace if needed.

Lodging is set up at the Best Western Arrowhead Lodge/Orange Moose
600 Oasis Rd
Black River Falls WI 54615
(715) 284-9471
"HD Forums" is the group name!!
There were no double queen rooms available because there is a wedding, but pricing is as follows.
We have 15 Queen rooms and 4 King rooms in the group
Queen room $83.60
King $98.56
$20 for a roll away
$10 for a 3rd person in a room
Each room has a fridge and microwave.
There is a bar/restaurant attached
There is a Perkins across the parking lot
There is a gas station with a Subway/Taco Johns also across the lot.

Parkland Village Campground (did not contact them, there's still snow in the campground) it is next to the hotel.
N6150 Julianna Rd., Black River Falls, WI 54615
715 284-9100

Tentative plans are to do ALOT of tuning/testing fairing off audio stuff. I have friends who volunteered to take people out and tour the area if you want to. I do live in a beautiful area and most of our roads are pretty good so it does make for an awesome area to ride. Don't get me wrong, we will do some riding, and make it to a few local places to eat (Yes Steve/DSMLimited, I know you can eat 8-10times a day) and one of our local watering holes is where we plan to do the sound off.

Thursday/Friday Arrive and get settled in, go for a ride, or to my place to chat-visit and talk audio etc. I had to put Thursday in there because MotoMike will probably get there Tuesday!!!! Ahh the retired life.
Friday pending on who all is here and what people want to do, we can plan accordingly.

Saturday after everyone has breakfast we can start to mess around with audio as soon as anyone gets to my place. I live in bumble fluff nowhere, so noise is not an issue at all. I live about 10 miles South of town and can escort a group or 2 back and forth but it is very easy to get to cause there are only 2 turns and they are within a mile of each other. I live in a little burg called Shamrock if you're looking on a map.
N2530 County Rd S
B.R.F WI is my address if you are programming a GPS or whatever.

Saturday around noon or so we will plan to have lunch at a tavern/restaurant.

Planning on the sound off part around 2 or 3 in the afternoon at a local watering hole.
A few of us were chatting about MAYBE having 2 classes cause there is just no way a guy with only 6.5s can compete with a bike with speakers in the lids or bags. So maybe a no bags/lids class? Also have talked about having people at the bar come out to vote if they want to? Again, lots of time to work out the small details.

Saturday evening, yes Steve, we will get a steak at a supper club. Everyone is again welcome to come out to my place for campfire and more BS after we eat. I am happy to get people back and forth to the hotel if you care to participate in an adult beverage, but don't like the idea of drinking then riding back to the hotel. As a matter of fact, most of us don't ride after dark if we can help it due to lots of critters, large (elk/deer) and small. The hotel does have a bar/lounge to hang out in if we just want to go back there.

Sunday (celebrate my anniversary) and I'm guessing most will head for home but I'm game for a ride to breakfast.

Ask away with questions or concerns and I will do my best to answer as quick as I can.
Kris

Thanks Kris, for putting all of this together and looking out for my food addiction. I'll be coming up on Thursday as well. Room is booked and good to go. I'm going to have to head back on Saturday, as there is a benefit ride I sponsor and participate in every year. The ride is on Sunday morning and my conscience (like i have one) says not to miss it.

Looking forward to this weekend. Thank you again...

That 108 is beautiful. Goes through Mindoro cut. Thats where they took some pics for the Harley Davidson catalog a few years ago.
