I'm not trying to get rid of the pods, i like my hcx's in the pod. I could be talked into a fairing change for the right speaker that gave me the volume, clarity and mid bass of what I currently have. The hcx's lost their sweet spot in the brackets
do you think that the MPX 165.3 PRO model might give you what you like, mounted in the bracket? I was just trying to think of a way to have it all mounted up in the fairing to make your detachables work out, having all the hardware in the fairing. Not having actually heard what you are working with, i was just tossing an idea out. i'm assuming that you tried it wrapped up in poly and without and all those little things we try.

Hey Steve what's up man...You say your getting DB Motos right, try them in lowers if they'll fit. If you like those you could get another set for the TP pods and run them in parallel (DB's at 103 sensitivity shouldn't need much juice to make em sing) off one channel and the fairing off the other or just add another amp like you were thinking?? Hope you or somebody has the DB's at the M&G, I'd like to hear them!

I think I've come to the realization that 6 speakers on one amp is probably a no go. If I really like the DB's in the lowers, I could do as you say Mike and lose the 2nd amp by adding DB's to the fairing.
Heres the rub when it comes to this stuff. I like my fairing now but i can't fit 2 amps in there with the pods. If I change out the fairing and ditch the pods, I can get 2 amps in there, but then I could get around needing the second amp. Lol
The second amp option at least lets me DSP all 3 sets individually and in my head, is probably the better play.
I wanted to hear the DB also but around here everyone has basically the same 2 systems. 2 shops in the area, 1 does kits and the other does the same setup for everyone also.

With a DSP the micro list grows a bit. The 280, the PRV, the Taramp, etc. The last 2 will push a bit more juice than the JL.

Ive been looking at options, thanks for those suggestions. Is the NVX anything a guy should look at? Coincidently, I already own a 280. Haha.... you can't have too many spare pieces, unless you ask my wife.

NVX was good to me. It just got expensive. I think I paid $110 for it not too long ago.
The 280 will be very solid if paired with the right SPL speakers.
