WDX6MOTO Upgrade From Titan II 6.5
Is this an upgrade? Would they be compatible with my newly rebuilt BT2180 @ 180 RMS/ch and Sony DSX-S310BTX for fairing only in my 2000 UC? What grills would I need since the tweets protrude a bit? I already have the BT 6.5 adaptors installed. Most of my riding is 25-50 mph since I am on an Island with the occasional sprint down one of our 3 freeways.
Aloha,
Dave

As far as if the speakers are an upgrade I can't say. The smart folks will be along shortly to advise you on that.
As far as mounting goes In my 2010 UC the 6.5" adapters pushed the Motos back far enough to where the tweeters didn't hit the grills. I suspect your batwing fairing may be similar but others in the know can verify.
I used plain black HawgWired grills I got off of Ebay. I wanted a plain stock look but durability and they have worked out well so far.

Very solid mid budget speaker. And way damn loud. If ur just cruising around the island at lower average speed u might consider targeting a speaker with a bit more warmth since ur not battling the elements that higher average speed riders are challenged with.
Very damn loud but luke warm speaker.
Just a thought.
AWs, Polk MM652, Euphoria EPC 6K are all a bit warmer.

As some have mentioned they scream but not a lot of bass from them.
If you want a basic all around good speaker , I would recommend https://www.infinityspeakers.com/spe...urrent#start=1
The 620's are the same thing but the crossover point is tuned towards rock on the JBL's.

Dave, I don't think the infinity's would be an up grade over the Titan's. The Moto's would be louder but not as musical or accurate. You might want to pick one of the speakers T recommended for a more musical (warmer) speaker, Ive only heard the AW's myself so not sure about the other's. The Titans sound good if you can E-Q them as Bates said! Aloha Brother...always wanted to go to Hawaii and rent a Harley!
