2018 RGS 6 Speaker - EPC6K vs MPX 165.3 and DD VO 6x9 vs MPX 690
Good Afternoon All,
I asked a few questions on here last month and have decided to go a different route.
I have a Cerwin Vega B52 Amp left over from a previous build and I am looking at a 4 speaker system with either the Euphoric EPC6k Component Set (in the dash) and DB WDX6Moto's in the lowers, or the Hertz MPX 165.3's in Dash and lowers. It seems the Eupohoric and WDX specs are close enough they can be run off the same channel. The amp should provide the speakers 125W RMS in this configuration.
Has anyone run the DB Drives vs MPX's to have an opinion one way or the other?
In the rear I picked up some Hogtunes Speaker lids and I am looking at the DD VO 6x9's or the Hertz MPX 690's. I will be running these off of a bridged Diamond Micro 4. From the reviews it seems that the DD's have more bass and are quite loud and the MPX's don't have the bass but do have the mid/high's. Is this accurate?
Any other insight would be appreciated.

Reach out to OKCPhil. He is running the dB setup u speak of. And I think he had the MPX in the lowers at some point.
R u looking for damn loud and clear or a bit warmer. If damn loud, the dB Motos in the fairing and a complimenting speak in the lowers.
For the lids the Hertz are damn solid, but I would wait a few days for the dB Moto 6x9 reviews to roll in. We know those will be loud as hell but if they can bring solid mids then that might be the way to go for bang for the buck.

Thank you tailwind, I am looking for louder and clear. My last bike had the D&D Fatcat and was quite loud, this new one has the Screamin Eagle full system and is not nearly as loud. So I really just want something where I can here the music at around 85 on long trips.
I saw a few reviews of the WDX where they mentioned the tweeter being quite overpowering, so I was looking at the Components as a review I read said the -12db adjustment took the "brightness" out of them.
Thanks for the suggestions on the 6X9's I will wait to see a few reviews on them.
