Default speaker popping

guys 2006 road glide. not my first radio install but first time seeing this issue. bike has hog tunes 3572-aa 5x7 2 ohm in the fairing. bought a jvc kd-r980bts head unit just so i can have bluetooth. not trying to rock the world. when all hooked up i cant go past 18-19 on volume (goes to 35) and the speakers crackle and pop. unhook head unit and hook up stock radio and can turn it all the way up perfect. now 18 on jvc is about as loud as talking to your buddy at a normal level. what am i doing wrong? the jvc cant be pushing that much power can it?

A lot of it could be that your trying to push 2ohm speakers with a 4ohm HU.

That’s was my first thought but the range on the hu says 4-8 ohm so I took a set of stock 2003 Electra glide 8 ohm speakers and the same issue
