Aftermarket Radio Won't Turn Off
Hey all, the radio will not turn off when the ignition switch is off. I have had the stereo installed for years and never had this happen. I haven't rode in awhile and all of the sudden tonight it happened. The handle bar toggle switch stopped working and the red led is solid on the dash. I have tried the turn off restart, no luck. I have not made any changes to the bike in over a year. I let the bike sit for awhile with the faceplate off and then checked, still has power to the head unit. Any suggestions?

jiggle or tap your igntion switch when it's in the off position and see if it turns off,,,i've had some bikes with this issue. you turn off the switch and think everything is cool, but the switch doesn't fully open. if you tap it and the radio shuts off, you;ll know its a switch issue. if that doesn't do it you are back to a connection issue, or maybe a wire rubbed through to another hot wire and it's keeping power supplied to the radio.

Thanks for the suggestions. All wires and connections looked good. I unplugged the biketronics radio/hand control adapter and put it back together. Everything works as it should. This must have reset the module and fixed whatever error there was.
Biketronics customer service was great. They offered to replace/fix the module, but I didn't need to utilize it. Hopefully that's the end of the issue.
