I've heard two bikes running SP speakers and while they were loud they bikes didn't sound all that impressive. A lot comes down to tuning I'm sure, I've hard some crappy PRV bikes out there too. I don't think PRV is the end all be all, I'm sure there are great speakers out there --- I've heard some great Beyma bikes, we have a bike at the shop now with Hertz SPL's that awesome too. I think the SP's were a promotional money grab by a shop to push a brand with great margins that no one else really had access to, and after a few other shops that I know tried them out no one is still carrying them.

6MR500 and 6MB250, but honestly it's not the speakers themselves. Folks are often quick to ask "what brand did you use" or "what amp should I use" and center on that vs. how was it wired, did you put the tweeters or woofers together, are the pods stuffed with polyfill, is the radio flashed or BT Line Leveler. Sooooooooooooo many variables out there that go beyond the brand or speaker model.

I ran Arc 602’s in the lowers, then the SP’s thinking they would be a huge improvement. NOT.

Put in PRV’s and my issue was solved.

Sounds like PRV's all around...along with some lid speakers! I think I'll do just mid/bass drivers in the lowers. with the motor right there, I feel like the tweeters would be a waste. Also, what tweets can I replace in the hog tunes pod...I had it painted to match my inner fairing. It looks purdy...don't want to get rid of it.

Appreciate all the help boys! Any specific place I should buy the PRV's or lids?

Thanks again fellas (and ladies if I've misspoken)

Another option for lowers some folks like are the AD Designs CX62s. They are really a midrange with a tweeter on them so to speak. I can hear the tweets in my lowers fine because I have them on the rear channel of the amp and the batwing speakers on the front and I can boost the signal to the lowers with the fader. That makes a BIG difference. If you are not going to have fade control then yeah tweets might be a waste, but I thought I'd throw that out there.

The Motos in the batwing have just a little bit of bass to them and all the highs I need and the ADs compliment them nicely. The smart folks can chime in and let you know if the ADs are up to the quality you are looking for or not, I don't have anything to compare them to myself. I'll also throw out that they are a good company to deal with service wise too.

Hammr, another speaker to consider in the lowers and maybe your fairing is the AW VO 6.5's...they play from 70 Hz to 1300Hz which is better then most of the other PA speakers. I have them in my lowers now, and were a tight fit. I have the AW's in my fairing and am considering trying the VO's in my fairing also, since they are quite a bit louder then the AW's! Aw's are more musical, but I can hear the VO's better at speed!
