Default Wiring multipe speakers in bags"Out of Phase"

has anyone ever dabbled or actually wired up their speakers out of phase in the bags?
i'm wondering if this would make things any better. got 6x9s in the lids and 8's firing to the inside. i wonder if i wire the 8's up out of phase with the 6x9's if it might make anything sound better. anyone ever done it?

Is that something you had read about somewhere? I only ask because in every situation I have had speakers (or even a turntable needle) wired out of phase the end result was no bass whatsoever.

I have heard that wiring woofers and subs out of phase in certain situations like sharing the same space (volume) or speakers in the rear of a van (distance to ears) is advantageous to wire out of phase. Only one way to find out for sure, easy to do..go for it!

There's an older thread of someone doing it in a tourpak to make more efficient use of the limited air volume there so the concept makes sense, but I don't have anywhere near the level of knowledge needed on speaker physics to say if it would work or not in a bag with larger speakers. It did make an improvement in the tourpak thread.

I am one of the people that run 1 speaker in my tp pods out of phase. I was getting better bass response with the trunk lid cracked open rather than closed. I ran the right speaker out of phase and it helped

You can try it just make sure that all the 6x9s are reversed, sometimes sounds better sometimes you can't tell the difference. I tried it wasn't enough difference to leave them wired that way.
