No, the bags aren't flat. You'd need 2" thick material and would need to hog out the shock relief.

H&H have nice 10" speedrings. I haven't used their 8's but they're basically the same thing.

I would chose the H&H over the AHB ones. AHB is overly complicated and cuts off 1/3 of the speaker with their mount design. Also, they use pressfit nuts which end up spinning leaving you with the unfortunate task of using a sawzall to get your speaker out.

I did see the H&H ones and read they are epoxied in place and wondered how well it held up.
certianly much cheaper, however probably no removal with the epoxy.

Hit up Tailwind, he may have some advise for you as well.
Yeah that^^^^^^^^!!

Go with the hole pattern first. Keep adding holes if needed. Super 77 spray inside the bag and stick some treated grill cloth over the holes. Home made bracket is simple and a shix load cheaper.

When you guys say treated grill cloth what are you guys using? Which cloth? Which waterproof spray?
I’m curious cause I bought some Outerwears prefilter material for my 6x9’s is this going to be Ok to use or should I use something different?
Thanks,

Thanks,
I have always used Parts Express Mellotone Grill Cloth and it has served me well. But anything in that general family of speaker protection will serve u well.

If you are going to use PRV 8’s we have rings to match the basket shape and then carpet them to look pretty.

That is perfect right there. Its like the square mounting flange was made for a saddle bag. Can you get goo bass out of these prv's too?

Are these mdf? If so are they resin treated to increase moisture resistance?

Not MDF. We don't use it for that reason!! They are a PVC like material.
