I have the Beyma Pro6WNDs 4ohm in they are the gen before what you have and WOW they are great!
  • Beyma PRO6WND 6.5" 300 Watt Mid-Bass/Midrange Car Audio Speaker
  • Specifications: Nominal diameter: 165 mm. / 6.5 in.
  • Rated impedance: 4 ohms
  • Minimum impedance: 4 ohms Power capacity*: 150 w RMS Program power: 300 w
  • Sensitivity: 97 dB / 2.83v @ 1m @ 2? Frequency range: 70 - 9000 Hz
I have the DDAWs in the fairing and tried a few other speaker till I got to these. They compliment the rest of the system great and provide a HUGE amount of sound even at 80 mph down the road!

I agree the bass is not like the DDs but the over all sound quality is top notch throughout the full frequency range that they support! Bit pricey compared to other brands but, for me, worth the price!

I have the Hertz SV 165's they sound great to my ears granted I feel they could use a little more punch but by far the best I have had on my bike so far. So now for the question my listening preference is more towards SQ > Loudness would I gain enough to justify changing them for either the Beyma or the GZ now the rest of my system is as follows Hertz SV165's and ST-25 Horns with a set of MPX 690.3 in the back the 165's and 690's are driven with the SD800.4 and the ST's Driven with the SD 250.2

IMO the crescendo's don't belong in that same sentence. Yeah I'd like to post a few more reviews but don't want to do them off memory. I A/B'd each of these speakers....it's easy to do with 6.5' since every bike has a set of 6.5's and since I install 10's on just about every bike, it's a bit easier to do those too. For 8's I might make a box and just spend a few hours playing each of them.

The SPL's are great speakers and I think really when any of these speakers REALLY shine is when they are properly tuned to highlight their strengths and get the sound you are looking to get out of them. I think the GZ's are very similar in sound characteristics but a tad better but you would only really enjoy the new speakers if they were tuned well. If you just do a swap and let it rip it's like you won't see that much of a difference to warrant swapping speakers out. You do have great speakers already so it's not like your swapping out junk.

Stupid loud and crystal clear. If it were me I'd put the PRV in the lowers and Beymas in the fairing.

I'm going to post another review thread on 10's. What I hope some of these review threads will generate is a dialogue regarding what speakers are better for what purpose or what should be used when. I'll give you an example if you have a 6 compression drives on a bike that play stupid loud, the 10RS350's may not be a good choice, you'll likely want a 10 that plays louder even if it doesn't play lower. Similar pairing should be considered when choosing the right 6.5, and really that's what lead me to chose three 6.5's for this review that all play very different but could be perfect on the right set up but not so right on another.
Great review!!!!
