Default Blew a 6x9, Time For an Upgrade. Advice needed

I just blew a 6x9 so its time for an upgrade.

2011 Street Glide current bag setup:

2 Pioneer TSD-6902r facing the wheel, mounted toward the front of the bag

They are powered by a JL Audio XD-200/2, bridged (in parallel, too. Not sure why it doesn’t go into protect with the load its seeing) The amp is mounted inside of the right bag, to the rear of the shock hump.

Radio is a Sony MEX-M70BT

I’ve been thrashing these things to within an inch of their life for a few years now, and finally, one gave it up.

I’m very happy with the overall sound Q of the bike but since I have to replace equipment anyway, may as well go bigger, right? I’d like more parking lot low end thump, like the kind a pair of 10’s could provide. Can you recommend a 10” to replace the 6x9’s and an amp to replace the JL? I’m open to using 8” speakers as well. If replacing the amp, it needs to fit into the same space as the XD200/2.

By the way, I ride the hell out of this bike all over the country, so I’m not willing to give up a whole lot more room in the saddlebag.

Fire away please

Check out these, they are pretty popular.

You will have tons of amp choices.

First off those Cadence speakers you will blow up in 10
minutes at 125w. Look at the PRV or the Crescendo or GZ 10s. Or if your pocket book is larger look into the
Beyma.

Budget is big, by the way. I understand that better or more sound often means more money.

And please include the model of the equipment so I can check them out, thanks!

What about the dd vo 6x9? I haven’t done it yet, but currently I have two 6902r’s in each bag and a 3” horn, thinking about two vo’s in each bag and upgrade the horns also, with a SD 800.4? Idk just my two cents

If you are not willing to give up bag space, forget about the idea of 10's. Or 8's for that matter. You might think about Dd VO- 6x9's or Hertz Mille Pro 6x9's and feed them 200 watts and get some sort of dsp.

He specifically asked about 8s or 10s and already has the 6x9 inside bag
so I don’t think giving up bag space is a problem
