Default Help Installing Hertz 165.3...need options for 14+ Grills and mounting...

I will be installing a set of Hertz 165.3 woofers in the upper Fairing of my 2017 Street Glide CVO. I'm not trying to reinvent the wheel, so those of you that have installed aftermarket 6.5's in the upper fairings please reply to what all I might need to do in regards to mounting these speakers and/or modifying the pods to get the best sound as possible.
Also would like recommendations in regards to replacement grills not wanting to use my stock grills.

Thanks in advance

Where are you planning on mounting the tweeters?

if i'm not mistaken the 165.3 is a coaxial speaker, no need to worry about tweeter.

All good replies... The Hertz are actually MP 165.3 Which is just a woofer not a coaxial. I'm using VO-B3 tweeters in a different location for my highs.
So I'm looking for info on just the mounting the woofer and what I should do with the Pods.
Does anyone know what the internal volume is for the pods?

I’ve never tried that speaker, but looking at the pics they look like they have a large surround. They may hit the inner fairing unless you mount them inside the pods instead of on the outside like stock.

i can tell you for certain that the ones i put up a picture of will hit the fairing with the surround if mounted outside the pod like stock, i had to pull some a few weeks ago. If the woofer that you mention is of the same size it will be an issue to find a work around.
