Aftermarket radio with stock amplifier

I have a 2018 street glide with stock amplifier.
Is the aftermarket radio gonna work with stock amplifier?
Please advise.
Thank you.

Nothing after market really works with BOOM amps. Maybe a speaker swap.

If you are gonna go with aftermarket head unit, you would not want the under powered over priced Boom amp anyway.

There really isn't a stock amplifier. Unless you added the BOOM audio to it.

I think Iron Cross explained one time that the Harley amps do not have a 12v turn on lead, so there is no way for an aftermarket head unit to tell the amp to turn itself on. The HD amps and head units use CAN (Controller Area Networking) bus to work together.

I wonder if you removed the boom amp and the Boom speakers and put a few Hertz in there without an amp (that you can add later) if the sound will be better than stock Bool with the amp?

The Boom stock head unit doesn't have enough power to drive any of the Hertz 4ohm speakers. It barely has enough to drive the stock 2ohm speakers.

I would focus on a solid amp and speakers before a head unit.
