Has any one switched to this head unit ? I have a 14 SG standard and have pretty much upgraded it beyond the special with the exception of the stereo head unit. Wondering if any body has this unit and how they like it ?

I installed one in my 2015 sgs and although l haven't ridden the bike yet because of our lovely Minnesota winter, l'm impressed with it so far. Great sound quality out of it.

I have the AX100 for over a year now. I would just make sure you purchase it from one of the reputable places. The guys that say they can get it cheaper on Amazon end up having issues with the thumb controller or something else. Then have no support or a technician to call.

Any issues with using the stock control on bike with the sony head unit, does everything work or do you lose some functionality, looking to put on 18 roadglide

Does the volume, search,and any of the other things you normally control on a stock head unit through your left and right finger switches work with the sony change out

 

You can change songs, volume.
You can use google maps and mirror phone.
You will get far superior sound quality without the use of a DSP to correct Harley's Drastic EQ curve.
you significant other can't talk to you through the intercom

you can not search a artist with the thumb controls.
You can not zoom in on the maps with the thumb controls
You can not see the screen that tell your parade mode is activated, your oil PSI
