Mike, are you running the hertz tweeters and crossovers with your mlk's? If you are, do the tweeters get harsh at real high end? I ask as I am running the beyma ast 50 horns with a 2500 capacitor and no crossovers and I have to back them down a bit to blend well. I have not been a fan of passive crossovers in the past.

Sounds like you have your amp set wrong. Mine are over 2 years old now, and are perfect. What amp are you running?

Stating the obvious, 99.9% of the time Hertz shix only blows up due to operator error.
Just sayin.
Take the time to get ur stuff set up in the intended sandbox and it will perform at it optimum levels and last for a long damn time.

How much power going to them and where are your x-overs at? If you try to cross too low, they'll distort.
