Default Sound meter app

Does anyone know of a good app to download on your phone? The ones I have tried are almost 30 off from my meter. I don't want to carry a meter with me to some of the sound competitions, but would like to know what some of the system's are pushing.
thanks Allen

Allen no good sound competition uses a meter...and honestly no phone app register a loud enough db reading to be worth it.

If the mic isn't calibrated it's basically a WAG. Maybe the apps could tell which bike is louder in back to back test. Not even really confident in that.

How do they judge? By ear or opinion?

So someone is made judge or judge's and they decide on what they think based on what group/class the bike is in?
Now I see why some get upset or feel the competition is not fair.

Comps are more aligned towards SQ nowadays moreso than a DB meter.

how do you think car audio sound quality is done? A meter will NEVER determine which bike actually sounds better. I don’t know of any relevant bike audio competitions still using a meter.

How does Olympic Gymnastics, Boxing, Diving, and just about every single judged activity in the world work?

come to Saturday’s SOS event in Daytona and check it out first.

I plan on coming to several of the events. I hope to meet you in person. I understand about judging, but by the same token it's subject to opinion of the judges. Just like a beauty contest, what I think could be different than what you think, could be or we could agree. I mean I get it and I know it's all in fun. It's just interesting to me how this works. One thing I have realized is understanding all that goes in this takes time to learn and understand.

See you there hopefully.
Allen
