Tired of fighting Harley to get a 4.3 Hu that doesn't fog up after having 5 different radios installed under warranty and they want a small fortune to swap out and upgrade to the 6.5. Just purchased an almost new 6.5 out of an 18 RG off Ebay and plan to install it. I'm not an audiophile and the 4.3 system worked fine for me even at 80 mph. Are these speakers compatible enough to get by without switching to the 6.5 speakers? I do plan on eventually upgrading them but not immediately. ETA no amp is involved. Just stock.

 

Yes, I think you should be able to get the same poor quality sound outta those speakers with either head unit.

 

Mainly concerned whether the 6.5 HU is 2 ohm like the 4.3. Not finding that information in my meager search.

 

The speakers on a 4.3 and 6.5 head unit are the same. They are both 2ohm. They are considered 6.5 speakers.
