Default Boom 6.5 GT launching to Media instead of radio?

So just purchased a 2015 Roadglide Special with the 6.5 gt head unit. It always launches to the radio instead of the last source that I was listening to before shut down. Is there any way to change this? OR Is there a way to change the default source so that it opens to media when the radio is turned on?

Most of the time the 2 bikes I've had with the Boom 6.5 would "launch" to the last media which was usually my USB flash drive. Occasionally they would launch to the radio but if I waited usually less than a minute they would then recognize the last media - the flash drive and start my music. I believe it would pick up right where it was playing when I shut the bike off the day or the week before.

To answer your question, I never really looked for a way to have it default always to the last media but in getting to know the system I never stumbled across any way to do it either but not saying a default method doesn't exist.

Mine would mostly restart on the last played source, but sometimes it would choose on it's own that the last played source was SiriusXM. Sometimes it would START playing Media (from my thumb drive), then it would decide to switch over to the SXM tuner. Other times, it would start on SXM (if that was what I was last listening to), but would randomly decide I meant to be using the Bluetooth connection to my phone. I still can't figure out any "pattern" that causes the spontaneous switches or why the BoomBox forgets the last source.

Had this problem on mine. The latest radio update seems to have solved this issue.

I have the latest update. I haven't tried with a thumb drive only bluetooth with Pandora through my phone. I'll give the thumb drive a shot and see if it goes to that every time I restart the bike.

Thanks

I can get it to default to my thumb drive each time I turn on the bike. Bluetooth was hit or miss. It would always connect but sometimes I’d have to hit play.

Oddly enough, mine will default to usb drive if I shut down the bike with the thumb switch. If I shut it down with the ignition switch, it's a crap shoot.

It rarely defaults to bluetooth though, because it takes a while for a phone to connect. If it tries, it will typically default to radio. That's really strange because I never listen to radio.
