Default sony xav ax5000 kit for harley

I have a 14 sg and I was wondering who makes the nicest plug and play kit for under $500. I don’t ride in the rain so I don’t think the biketronics is warranted. And has anybody installed a biketronics amp on top of there kit

I got ax5000 and an amp (already had Hertz speakers) from Paul at “702 Motoring” out of Las Vegas, per referral of other forum member. It came with everything needed. I think the cost of the Sony and adapter was at or under $500.

I just ordered a kit from Fat Head Cycles; https://fatheadcycles.com/collection...ug-play-bundle I must have snagged the last one as it said Sold Out right after I ordered. I'll post up some install pictures once it arrives.

Another option is 77 Customs. I bought mine from them.

I have the Sony 5000 kit from Volunteer Audio, Biketronics 2180 amp and the BT7P14 speaker kit. Head unit is directly connected to the amp, sounds awesome.

Installed mine this past Friday. I've got the Sound Stream PN4.1000D amp on a J&M amp tray, BT 7.1 speakers in the fairing and BT 5x7's in the bag lids. Sounds great and SO much nicer to use than that stock POS 4.3 radio.

Kudos to Fat Head Cycles, from the time I ordered to delivery was a week. Everything is pre-wired and hooked up, you don't even have to program the thumb switch. I had taken my radio/amp out prior so the install was real easy, fits great.

The downside is you can't use an iPod with this radio, which really sucks but wasn't a deal breaker. I'm still messing with settings on the radio and amp, but so far I'm really happy to make the switch from that stock junk.
