I saw a couple of pics on those new diamond 6x9's and the magnets look huge! I cant find any specs on their weight nor price but they may need reinforcement hanging from lids. Also having a non metal basket reminds me of the infinity kappa 6x9's and they are known to not be reliable. Other than that, they look promising.

The speakers are a few pounds heavier, as far as the magnet goes they're the same size as a 8" speaker. Not sure how they'd work in the lids, I have the same amount of bag space as I did with my regular mid bass 6x9s and they don't run hot. 299.00 a pair.

Thanks for that info Arlington. Where can I get them and do you know what they weigh? On the box somewhere or a spec sheet somewhere?

Those new DA 6x9's look very promising.
Here's an article, from 12voltnews.com, that I found on them.

The Diamond and Cerwin are actually 100% the same other then different branding put on them.

The best SQ 6x9 with bass out on the market right now, I can barely keep them in stock.

Thanks for the comparison pic Mike. How do they compare to the mpx's? LOws, SQ volume, power needed.

I think the Hertz SQ is hard to beat a very accurate and warm speaker, the DA are a little brighter sounding for sure, but not bad just different, absolutely they have more bass, it's very noticeable depending on the song. I did up the gain some on them and crossed them lower than the hertz. I think they compliment my Hertz 1650..3's up front great.
