Need some advice

I have a hogtune 4 channel amp and 2 fairing speaker set up on my 16sgs. I am wondering if i could install a rockford speaker lid kit on it.
if so how difficult would it be to do and has anybody done something similar. any feedback would be greatly appreciated as i am not
audio expert.
thanks,

The NCA 450-RM isn't going to have the power to push the RF lid kit. The RF lid kit is a pretty easy and straight forward install. I have it on my bike and I really like it for someone who wants lid speakers.

my bad, i just looked at my receipt and realized i have the rm225 2 channel amp that allows for connecting anothet rm225 to it for the rear speakers so could i run the rockford speaker lid kit off of that?
thanks for the reply. i am new to this audio stuff.

No the RM225 is still only ~50W @ 4ohm per channel. I mean you can probably literally do it, but it will not sound good. No where enough watts to power legitimate speakers. The terrible part is at $350 retail you could have bought a fantastic amplifier that would have worked well. These "kit" retailers really are a special kind of vile humans.

1st step would've been to come here and do some homework before buying the first Hogtunes setup. But since you already have it, I definitely wouldn't keep piling on with more of their under powered and overpriced items. The Cerwin Vega B52 would be a solid amp to push the RF 6x9's. There are better amps available in the price range of the Hogtunes amp as well.

If you want to install a set of RF lids you will need a reliable 4 channel amp for the setup. Mmats 4110 or a stinger spx 700.4 will be what you need. Either of those amps will be perfect for a 4 channel set up. Also a tm400x4ad will work but more $$ than the others. What speakers do you have in the fairing now? If you have hogtunes in there now you just might want to reevaluate them as there are so much better out there.
