Default 19 Street Glide Special Audio Upgrade

Finished up my audio upgrade on my 19’ SGS tonight.
Still need to do more research on setting amp gains and frequency and haven’t road tested it yet but in the garage it’s muchhhh louder and cleaner than the stock setup.
Cerwin Vega B52 Amp
Hertz CPX 165 Pro 6.5’s
BT 355 Line Leveler

I’m thinking I may have my speakers wired incorrectly, everything works and sounds okay I just don’t want to damage anything. I have the positive from each speaker tied together and the negative from each speaker tied together going into the bridged positive and negative on the amp. The amp is rated for 500 x 1 @ 4ohm, but the way I have the speakers wired currently in parallel = 2ohm if I’m not mistaken. Will this damage the speakers or the amp? Do I need to put one speaker on each channel? Also do you adjust the frequency first or the gains first on the amp?

I'm not understanding why you are bridging that amp to those speakers & running parallel
The amp is 200 watts x 2 @ 4 ohm
The speakers are rated for 95 RMS @ 4 ohm

Well that’s just because this is the first amp I’ve ever installed and I don’t know what I’m doing

Run channel 1 to the left & channel 2 to the right speaker
Before you hook the speakers up to the amp, set the gains per the sticky above

We've all been there. Just hook up the speakers normally, unbridged with left and right for stereo. Then adjust the frequency first and then the gains on the amp. Then back and forth until it sounds good with no distortion.

Get the head unit flashed. And personally I would use a fosgate DSR1 instead of the BT355. When I swapped mine out it was night and day difference. Just my opinion though I’m sure other will have theirs about that.
