Default BT 355 Line Levelers - Setting Gain and High Pass Filter

I finally have the BT 4180 installed along with the 7.1's and SV 165 in the lowers. Sounds good but I am thinking I need to adjust the High Pass Filter and Gain Control on both line levelers. Before I start turning the dials, what do these controls do? I know BT set's them but give no instructions on how to fine tune. The indy who did my flash suggests adjusting but I am not sure. Any suggestions or guidance would be greatly appreciated.

You're using a flash and line levelers?

Bt355 says the HP frequency is selectable.
Everything below the set freq will be filtered out, essentially removing the bass that stock speakers mush out on. Set this after the gain.

The Gain should be adjusted by setting the volume on your first things first.
Phone then Radio.
Or just radio.

Set them as high as you normally listen, or a few clicks under max, then turn up the gain on the bt355 until the sound distorts, then turn it down a little.

Not the strategy I would use to set my gains. Why aren’t you setting the gains on the amp?

Is this the correct order to set everything. Volume, gain on bt355, then gain on amp. Set amp to high pass and set crossovers?

. I wouldn’t mess with any of the settings on the line leveler.
