Default Which PRV 10 for my power level

Looking for advice on which PRV 10" speaker to pair with my RF TM400X2AD running mono that will put out somewhere in the 250W RMS range per speaker. I am looking at the 10MB400 or the 10W650 but I know some of you have experience with the other 10's in the PRV range. The 10MB's are in the power range for my amp but currently I have 8MB600FT in my bags and they have a similar power rating to the 10W's and they sound great. As always any advice from you guys is greatly appreciated.

this is always a tough call unless you've heard the bike in question, you also don't mention whether or not you have a dsp to properly tune and set this up, but based on power and sensitivity, it looks like the 10W650-4 would be something to look at and think about, some of the other models have lower specs in the frequency range, but the sensitivity is also lower, and you are not pushing a lot of power, that might help with that issue. you might have to try a few different ones until you find what you like as so much of this choice is based on YOUR ears and the rest of the set up on the bike.

Currently running a DSR-1 but probably gonna switch to a DD DSI to for more adjustability and because the RF BT sucks. Thought about replacing my TM400 with a SD800.4D(4) and running it bridged which I think is around 400 per channel but I am not sure it will fit in my fairing with my other 2 amps as it is slightly larger than the RF. Also, my set up is in the bottom line of my sig.

are you going to get rid of the 6x9 and or the 8's? they normally dont play well with each other,,,,you moight think about putting a closed back 6.5 in the lid and a 10 in the bag,,what kind of mount set up were you thinking about? the SD will definately give more power, and knowinng now that you've got some sort of dsp to work with will help out alot. I didn't care much for the DSR1 either, so i've switched to the DD Dsi2 and like it very much. how much volume and what frequency are you trying to attack?

10's are going in my stock bags unsealed. 6x9's are getting replaced by MMATS DTX250C compression drivers/horns and adding MMATS DTX35T super tweeters probably facing the wheel in the front part of the bag. The guys over at Lucky 7 are going to take care of the mounting of the speakers and comp drivers then I am going to rewire some stuff and bring it back to them for tuning. As far as frequencies and volume I would be happy if I could get a similar sound that I have with my 8's but louder. Right now I have the 8's bandpassed at 50hz and 2500hz with a 24 db slope. I might run the 10's maybe 500-1000 hertz higher since I won't have an open back speaker competing with it anymore.

250 watts is light for most prv 10's. The sd 800.4 (4ohm) and get some 4 ohm 10's, 400 watts is a decent place to be.

Well I was cleaning out my garage last night and found the FDP Sport that I ordered over a year ago that wouldn't quite fit in my fairing but I am thinking it will probably fit now since I went with the Sony HU. I think that puts out 500W bridged at 4ohms. Looks like I am going to be pulling the fairing again sometime in the next week.

Juice,
How much power are you sending to those 10W650A's?

Either PRV will work with that amp...but ideally I would ditch that amp and use more power. Those amps even at 250w I wouldn't recommend for a set of 10's and low frequencies. That's not where they shine or what they were designed to do.
