I picked up a new to me 2015 Street Glide Special with the 6.5 stock system. I'm not real thrilled about the sound. I'm thinking about buying the Biketronics amp and speaker package for 2014 and up batwings. The amp is the BT2180.14 and the speakers would be the Titan II 7.1. How much of an improvement would there be over the stock set up? Anybody have this system that isn't happy with it? Thanks and Happy Father's Day.
It will make the stock system sound like a whisper. I went with the same setup as you, I did get the brackets also to eliminate the pods.
Warranty is awesome as so are the people at BT.
I just recently upgraded the head unit to the Sony XAV 5000. I wanted the car play feature.

U can do far better than those BT Titan II Speakers.
Browse a bunch of these different threads as there are plenty of solid reviews on various speakers that will meet ur parameters. As far as BT as a business entity, phenomenal folks. I just don't care for their 6.5s in the fairing. Absolutely far better than stock but for the Titan cash u can do far better imho.

I'm with Tailwind. I had Biketronics for awhile, and wasn't happy with it. Not NEAR the upgrade I expected for that much money. You can do alot better for that money. Do yourself a favor, and don't find that out the hard way like I did.

NOT knocking your opinion on the BT7P1 speakers Tailwind, but you do have to factor in the lifetime warranty for their speakers and amp as part of the overall value. Yes, it's spendy, but it's STILL light-years better sounding than the stock speakers. I'm perfectly happy with my BT setup (the only non-BT part of my bike's audio are my rear TP pod speakers: I'm running Alpine SPR-60s since I didn't want to fight with spacers), and the only part of the kit that's not lifetime guaranteed is the actual Sony head unit. Granted, I spent more than dudes who went with fathead cycles or other companies that put together a Sony head unit/mounting solution, but you really can't beat the customer support and warranty service that BT offers.
Then again, my opinion is one of many on the subject, so take it for what it's worth.

Huge fan of BT brother!!! Have owned a bunch of their stuff and hell I just had them outfit custom HU for me. Their customer service & warranty is beyond exceptional.
With all that being said, they have missed to boat on those BT7s. Compared to all the other stuff that is currently on the market, it's just a poor performer imho. Better than Boom but severely lacking in the current market. Maybe they will listen to the feedback, that is not isolated, and pivot into a much better product or engineering. U get warranty on a much better sounding speaker, then I'm all in. Just cannot recommend that speaker in good conscience regardless of the warranty.
But the fact remains, no two ears are alike!!! AND, BT as a business stands above the rest in many many regards. Hell I luv JL Audio as well but some of their shix makes my ears throw up too!! Lol.

I know this is an older thread, but what would you recommend now? I just recently put the JL Audio C2 in my fairing, but the amp my bike came with is weak and doesn't make them sound good. I was recommend BT on here and was considering their 4 speaker package with the BT7P1 speakers, but now I'm not so sure after reading all this. Would it be a noticeable improvement over the JL's and worth the extra money in your opinion? I'm definitely getting a better amp, but speakers are still up in the air. My lower pods have Kicker speakers in them so they're nothing to brag about. lol

Post up what kind of budget you're working with. Those "boxed" brands are notoriously over priced, and as TW mentioned, you can do way better for what they're charging.
I would not disagree that if you have a good ear and lots of knowledge you can probably get better sound for what a BT kit will cost. Having said that I am really happy with my setup. To my old ears at highway speeds it sounds so much better than the Boom! II setup I had before (wow, what a waste of money). On top of that I have a single throat to choke should anything go wrong, everything comes included so it's truly plug n' play, super simple to install with excellent technical support, and then there's the lifetime warranty. I just wish I'd gone from the stock setup to BT first.
I honestly think that for a package deal you can't go wrong with BT. But if you've the skill and patience to roll your own setup from scratch (using the advice offered on this forum by these very knowledgable people) that is probably the way to go.
