Default 08 ultra amp/speaker upgrade

I have a 08 ultra with factory radio and factory speakers and i am wanting to upgrade the speakers and add a amp to it. I just so happen to have a DB drive marine amp and 2 sets of powerbass xl 6.5 speakers that are all brand new, it was going in my side by side and never got around to using them.

Here is the amp : https://dbdrive.net/product/neo4/

Here is the speakers: https://powerbassusa.com/index.php?c...52m-65-coaxial

My question is will this setup work with the factory head unit? I am not looking at upgrading that just yet, when i do which will be later on down the road i will either use the Aquatic AV one or the rockford fosgate one specific to harleys since i want to keep hand controls.. What all will i need to make this work? I assume the power wires to the amp and 2 sets of 6.5 speaker adapters?

There are a plethura of speaker adapters. Metra, schoshe, biketronics, hogwired, hogtunes, and even J&M. Pick 1 and roll.

Metra 82-9601 always worked for me

when fastening adapted to fairing...BE VERY CAREFUL OF LOWER INSIDE SCREW... it will go through your inner fairing.
Were we only using 3 of the 4 screws on those? Guys? My memory sucks

There are only 3 mounting holes on that adapter. Therefore, if oriented correctly, you won't put a screw in the lower inside.

As far as I see, you will need 2 LOC from your HU to the rca input to the amp also or send the HU to Iron Cross to be converted for rca outputs.

For your tourpak pods, depending on speaker, you may or may not need a simple 6.5" plastic spacer. They are cheap and plentiful on amazon
