USB Drive with Sony XAV-AX5000
Ok, so I have the Sony installed and it works great. Is there anything specific you have to do with music on USB drives to get the HU to display/play all songs? The drive is loaded with about 900 songs and worked great on the Boom HU. Now it will only display and play a small portion of the songs. I’d say it’s probably only songs by artists in letters A-E. I’ve tried switching from USB 2 to USB 1 and it really doesn’t make a difference. Anyone know?

The sony only recognizes 250 files regardless of what they are. What you will have to do is break down your music into files of 250 each. Build files of 250 each like titles a-f, g-h, I-m and so forth. Then in each file add 250 songs. I did mine in country, oldies, rock, favorites ect.
