I just got an email from RF about a replacement head unit, but, it's for the 1998 to 2013 models.....

I "THINK" I've read folks hinting about something for the 2014 and newer Bikes.....Something "WATERPROOF" along the lines of the Sony XAV-AX5000 style...

Any comments?

 

Still in the works as RF is waiting to see how the 13 and down sells. They have a mock up of one for boom replacement in the works but nothing near ready to release yet.

 

I think what you may be hearing is the Sony xav ax7000. I have read many people claiming that it is going to be water resistant. Some going as far as saying it will have an IP67 rating. I have not seen anything from Sony saying that though. From what I have seen published so far it looks to be pretty much the same as the 5000 but with a little more power.

the RF one for the older bikes is no even available yet... and at 689 for a single din HU is expensive
