Anyone ever put this inside the fairing? I bought some for my bags but you get a ton for $7. My biggest concern is that it creates more heat. I am already dynamat lined.
Why do you think it would be beneficial to add egg create sound dampening to a loudspeaker set up in an open environment? What are you trying to accomplish.

Honestly I have absolutely no expectations, nor do I know of it would be beneficial. Worst case, I'll put it on the walls in my office.
the egg crate style damping material is for the room your are listening in, not the source(speaker enclosure) that the sound is coming from. most often used in older studio environments to try to eliminate or control transient high end frequency/noise,,,,,usually from cymbals and high end loud guitar.

GS, I think ur on the right track here brother but the correct material is a huge factor. Poly fil or speaker batting or ???!! The correct product can in fact assist with the airspace demands within the enclosure. Egg shell is not in that list.
I purchased 36 sq' of "Kilmat" from Amazon around $60 and did both saddlebags and front fairing pods and still have half of a box left. Definitely a noticeable difference in sound. Adding 8" subs to each saddlebag and now I'm not sure I wanna as the 6x9's in the lids are sounding so much better.
